Message From The Principal
Dear Pershing Family,
I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful scholars, a motivated and dedicated staff, and families who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities. Our faculty and staff are highly committed to providing the most rewarding education possible and making the process of learning an enjoyable experience. I am happy to announce that Pershing received a “B” rating for the 2021-2022 school year from Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Me siento extremadamente afortunada de ser la directora de una escuela con estudiantes tan maravillosos, un personal motivado y dedicado, y familias que trabajan con nosotros para crear un entorno que facilite el aprendizaje de los estudiantes a través de una amplia variedad de actividades y métodos innovadores y colaborativos. Nuestra facultad y personal están altamente comprometidos a brindar la educación más gratificante posible y hacer que el proceso de aprendizaje sea una experiencia agradable. SAISD FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENTS
Date: Saturday, September 24, 2022
Location: Brackenridge HS 400 Eagleland Dr., 78210
Time: All events will begin at 9 a.m.
San Antonio Independent School District, in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, is hosting drive-through food distribution events throughout the District to help SAISD families in need.
Distribution is on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

SAISD students from all campuses will have the opportunity to win an entry for their family into a drawing for a car giveaway. The car giveaway is an incentive to encourage all students from all campuses to attend classes every day. This incentive program is based solely on attendance and enrollment. No other factors such as academic performance, student behavior and discipline, or involvement in volunteer or extra-curricular activities will be required or considered in this drawing. By meeting certain attendance metrics outlined below, SAISD students will be able to earn digital ticket(s) for their family/guardian to be entered into a drawing during each 9-weeks grading period. The drawing will be held at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Additional drawings for smaller prizes will be held during the 2022-2023 school year based on digital ticket(s) earned during that 9-week grading period.

The SAISD Systems of Care connects students and families with resources that meet the needs of the whole child. Through this model, we are fulfilling our commitment to increasing families' access to social, emotional, and academic support.

2022-2023 Volunteer Program Update
The 22-23 application will be made available beginning on July 1, 2022.
Please contact your campus or FACE Specialist to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
In order to ensure the safety of District staff, students, and families, volunteers are encouraged to wear a face mask while on campus and follow all health and safety protocols outlined in the Safe Return to In-Person Learning and Continuity of Services Plan. We recommend that all volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Mrs. Juarez - Communities In School Site Coordinator
Hello everyone! I'm Mrs. Juarez/Ms. Angie, the CIS-SA Site Coordinator at Pershing Elementary School 21-22. I'm excited to support Pershing students with whatever they need to succeed in school this year, including:

-Basic needs assistance
In addition, I also work with parents in providing them resources such:

-Financial services
-Mental health support
I love working for CIS because I want to create a lasting impact on a child's life. A bit about me, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Sociology from UTSA.
