Band Mentoring Program
Thanks for Being a Band Mentor!
The purpose of the "Teach One, Bring One Band Mentoring Program" is to support students in middle school as they transition into high school band. Students in this band mentoring program will benefit in the following areas:
- Develop their musical talent
- Experience music as a part of a team
- Develop self confidence and discipline,
- Participate in a group activity which results in personal enjoyment and pride.
- Develop music memories between mentor and mentee.
- Mentors in concert, symphonic or jazz band will meet at least monthly with his or her mentee to provide support in areas of music development and enrichment. The job of the mentor is to help its mentee have the best possible experience that they can.
Please contact your mentee by Friday, January 15, 2016. They are waiting to hear from you!

Mentors and mentees should meet at least one time monthly or as much as you like! All meetings will take place at Ridge Road Middle School and are supervised by Mrs. Wise.
Teach One, Bring One Band Mentoring Program
The design of this program involves carefully selected experienced sophomores, junior and senior band students. The high school mentors will be paired up with an and eighth grade band student. All interested eighth grade students will be assigned a mentor (on their instrument) from the high school.
