Balloon-Powered Lego Cars MakerSpace
Twenty-two fourth and fifth grade students made balloon-powered Lego cars in the library at an after-school MakerSpace Event on January 21. Thank you to the Michelin volunteers and Ellen Woodside parents who joined in the fun!

Winter Library Lessons
Elf Applicants
In December, third grade students read "How Santa Got His Job" by Stephen Krensky and completed an online "Elf Application" Google Doc.
Weather Headbanz
First graders read "On the Same Day in March: A Tour of the World's Weather" by Marilyn Singer and played a game of headbanz with severe weather events.
Six-Word Memoirs
Fifth graders read "Sit In: How Four Friends Stood Up By Sitting Down" and wrote six-word memoirs about how they can be a leader and friend at school.

iPad Minis for the Library
Out thanks to Michelin for providing four iPad minis to be used in the media center during the school day and in the after-school program in the afternoons!
Greenville Drive Reading All-Stars
The Greenville Drive Reading All-Stars Program kicks off on F ebruary 1st for all students in 2nd - 5th grade. Students who read 5 just-right books in the 5-week period ending March 18 will earn free admission to the Drive Celebration game on April 11th at Fluor Field.
Guided Reading Sets
Just a reminder that we have a small collection of guided reading sets of children's literature including some of the most beloved characters and authors organized by A-Z guided reading level in the library for teacher check-out.
