Indian Run Family Update
Indian Run Elementary | December 3, 2021

Principal's Message
Hello Indian Run Families,
What a great first week back after Thanksgiving break. It is hard to believe we have just 2 weeks left until winter break and our 1st semester comes to a close. We are so proud of our students and staff for all they have done and continue to do this year.
Our students impress us every day as they exemplify our motto of what begins here will change the world. Our students continue to spread kindness by treating others with respect. They are AMAZING! They continue to collaborate, persevere, problem solve, and show determination every day.
We know our students' success is a team effort and want to thank all our IRE families for being so supportive and helpful. Please see below for some of our IRE updates!
Have a great weekend!
Amber and Marty

Winter Parties - December 17th
Winter Parties will be on December 17th during school. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you would like to support in any way. Gratitude & Giving Back
Research shows that people who show gratitude are happier and healthier. It helps us grow mentally and improves our health. The following link from On Our Sleeves provides some gratitude activities to use at home. On Our Sleeves- Gratitude

One Dublin
For nearly 15 years, Welcome Warehouse has been a resource for Dublin families in need. Their new name is now "One Dublin" which will not affect their current services; in fact, it gives them the flexibility to grow and adapt to the changing needs of our community.
Please reach out if you have questions. Their goal is to make sure students have what they need to succeed and to keep a family's small crisis from becoming a big one. Check out their new website that is listed below.
The SpongeBob Musical
Dublin Scioto is holding auditions for elementary and middle school students for their production of The SpongeBob Musical on Wednesday, December 8. There will be a required dance audition for everyone at 4:00 PM and then six-minute audition slots will begin after that. Please note that 8th graders are welcome to audition for any of the high school roles. The link to the high school audition materials is available in the children's audition packet.
Performances are February 25, 26 and 27th. Rehearsals begin December 13.
Backing tracks and the vocal score are also linked in the audition information for the children.
In order to give the children an authentic rehearsal and performance experience, they will be part of the rehearsal process at DSHS.
The world of Bikini Bottom comes to life in this feel-good musical about the importance of community and cooperation. Stakes are higher than ever as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage.
