2017-2018 Homeroom Parents
Holiday parties are a highlight of every school year! If you are interested in helping in your child’s class for any of this year’s socials, please fill out the sign-up sheet in their classroom on Back to School Night. Our socials will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm on the following dates:
If you are willing to be the head parent for your child’s classroom, please indicate that on the sign-up. We need one head parent for each classroom to collect money, coordinate parent volunteers and handle correspondence between the teachers and home & school.
We will have a meeting to discuss this years’ socials on Wednesday, September 20th, at 6:00pm, just prior to the first H&S meeting. If you have any questions, or cannot sign up on Thursday night, please contact Diana McClure (firstname.lastname@example.org). It would be helpful to indicate your child’s classroom and which parties you can attend this year. Thanks for your support!
From the Library!
The Fall Book Fair is coming! Our first book fair of the year will take place on Tuesday October 3rd (one day only) in the Salford Hills gym. The book fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Parents are welcome to visit the fair and shop with their children during the students scheduled class time. A schedule of class visitation will be sent home soon.
We can't wait to see you there!
We are also looking for volunteers to help set up and run the fair. If you can help, there will be a Sign Up Genius in the next Wednesday Message with all of the volunteer information.
Enjoy the first annual Souderton Movie Night in the park on Friday, September 8. The feature presentation, Secret Life of Pets, begins at dusk (around 7 PM). Click the link above for more details.
Team Spirit Day - Thursday, September 14
Salford Hills Supports Houston
We've planned a special Spirit Day on Thursday, September 14 collecting donations to support our friends in Houston, Texas suffering from Hurricane Harvey. Look for a flyer in Monday's communicator describing all the details including how to participate. Teaching empathy and social responsibility are meaningful endeavors which we cherish. Spirit Days are valuable opportunities to help our children understand the importance of sharing with others.
More details to come!
