We invite you to join us on February 6, 2021 for our
30th Annual Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) Conference.
The goal of SUMMA is to increase diversity in the health professions in order to better care for underserved communities. Our annual pre-medical conference is one of the oldest on the west coast and draws hundreds of students from throughout the Bay Area.
We are excited to offer this virtual conference experience, simulating that of our in-person meeting with concurrent tracks, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and social activities.

San Jose CARES WEX provides income assistance for lower-income individuals who lost jobs during the COVID pandemic. You qualify if you are:
- Must be a resident of the City of San Jose
- Lost hours or job due to COVID-19; Exhausted Unemployment Insurance; Someone in your household lost hours or job due to COVID-19
- legally able to work in the United States
- 18 years of age or older

Scholarship & Fellowship Opportunities
$20,000 UCSC Scholarship

Student Application Instructions
- Download and fill-out attached fillable scholarship application completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Apply for fall 2021 admission to UC Santa Cruz by submitting the UC Application for Undergraduate Admission before extension deadline: apply.universityofcalifornia.edu
- Collect two letters of recommendation
- At least one letter must be from a faculty member.
- The other letter should be from an individual who is able to comment on such areas as extracurricular activities, leadership skills, commitment, and dedication, etc.
- Obtain Transcripts from all colleges attended. Unofficial copies are acceptable.
- EVC Unofficial Transcript must be included
- Screenshots and Degree Audits won't be accepted
- Apply for financial aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application by March 2, 2021. Students on a non-immigrant visa (e.g., F-1, J-1, etc.) are not eligible for this award.
