STEM Lab Families,
As the school year closes, there is so much to celebrate. Our students have grown both academically and socially and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments! Our teachers continue to support each individual student by knowing their name, strength and need while recognizing that each and every student is unique.
It is always so bittersweet to wrap up the school year. As much as we all look forward to summer, we still spend much of the summer thinking about our students. We think about their smiles and laughs, we reflect on their celebrations and accomplishments, and we reflect on what else we could have done to help them grow. We wonder if they are reading, making crafts, camping, traveling, cooking, and playing outside. We think about and plan for next year and how we can continue to improve our practice and profession to serve our incoming students.
This is how I have spent the past 31 summers, but this summer will be different for me as I retire. STEM has been my life for nearly half of my career, from the early days of dreaming about a STEM school in 2008 while serving as a district science coach, to opening STEM Lab in 2010. It has been a joy and a privilege to serve this community. This school and community have been the highlight of my career. I am so proud of all STEM Lab has accomplished and honored to be a part of the greater Adams 12 STEM pipeline. The vision started small but 13 years later, thanks to our supportive district leadership, amazing staff and educators (some of which have been with us since the beginning), we have grown to serve tens of thousands of students across the three Adams 12 STEM campuses- Lab, Launch and Northglenn High.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the students and families of STEM Lab and work side by side with the most talented, caring, and dedicated staff. I will miss this wonderful community but I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life.
With great fondness,
Tracy Tellinger
Principal

Last call for Lost and Found / Objetos perdidos
