Cell Phone Expectations
Cell phones and other wireless communication devices are to be turned off and put away out of sight during the school day, unless authorized by a staff member. More information can be found in the HWRSD Handbook for Students and Families.
If students need to contact a parent or guardian for any reason, they will be allowed to do so through the main office or, in the event of an illness, through the school nurse. During the school day, students are not permitted to call or text parents or guardians using their cell phones.
Shakesperience Workshops
The theatre group, Shakesperience, visited Soule Road School in early February conducting in-class Folklore workshops with every class. The workshop is designed to educate students about Fables, Folktales and Myths from various cultures, bringing modern adaptations of classic tales. Balancing workshop and performance, Shakesperience actors led each class in scenes featuring student performers, allowing for the highest levels of inclusiveness. This workshop celebrates spoken language and empowers students with confidence and public speaking skills. The students had a fun and engaging time performing various Aesop's Fables! Check out some pictures from the workshops below.

SRS & GM Band Rehearsal
For the first time ever, Green Meadows School and Soule Road School 5th grade band members met for a combined band rehearsal on Thursday February 27, 2020. Band members rehearsed several selections including Grandstand March, Popcorn Prelude, Centurion and the ever popular Star Wars Theme Song. Following the rehearsal, band members had the opportunity to 'meet and greet' their counterparts.
