What is Pop Art?

Pop Art is popular art focused mainly on modern culture and everyday life. It is usually bright and colourful and is especially well known in America. There are many different pop artists, including Don Rubbo, Jean Dubuffet, Peter Blake and David Hockney. It started as a hit in the mid 1950's in England then hit it's popularity peak in New York in the 1960's. Come along to our fantastic exhibition and choose your favourite piece of artwork!

Agenda for the day!

12.00pm- Opening speech and introduction to pop art.
1.00pm- Free hour and a half to wander around the artwork pieces and buy lunch from our fabulously cooked meals in the centre's canteen.
2.30pm- Competitions and raffles.
3.00pm- Pop Art workshop with the professionals!
4.00pm- Gallery open until 5.00pm.
