Greetings Pirate Families
Happy New Year! Our semester has gotten off to a great start. Like anything new there are some growing pains, however, students and staff are adjusting and enjoying the new space. Next month will be very busy with Winter Sports Week, Black History Month, Counseling Week, and Winter activities wrapping up. Parent Teacher Conferences are just around the corner on February 8. This is a great opportunity for you to check in on your child's progress and partner with staff to make sure your child is heading in the right direction academically.
I would like to invite everyone out to the Special Olympics Halftime Showcase on February 9 during halftime of the Boys' Varsity Basketball game. Our students have worked hard to get their skills sharpened up and have some fun playing basketball.
I am looking for your continued support to speak with your child about getting to school and class on time. I’ve noticed that during the day our hallways are clear, however at the start of the day and the first 1-2 minutes after the bell rings some students are heading into class late.
Thank you for your continued partnership and let’s have a great third quarter!
Dr. Jones, Principal

Complete Form for Students' ICAP for 23-24
Parents & Guardians: All students have had the opportunity to add to or modify their Individual Career & Academic Plan (ICAP) regarding course choices for next year. As the ICAP serves as a document for course selection and a parent signature is required, please complete the parent review form (linked here and below) to serve as your signature. Completion of this form indicates that you have reviewed your child's ICAP, approve and support their course selections for the 2023-24 school year, and that you have had conversations with your child and individuals that have assisted you in making an informed decision.
If you have not seen your child's ICAP, please ask your child to show you their ICAP, located in their Google classroom. Once you have reviewed your child's choices, please complete the form. The form may be filled out once for multiple children attending PCHS next year. Course selection is set to begin next week, once courses are entered into our scheduling system. Changes can only be made if they align with our course change policy.
