A Note from Ms. Davis
Dear Families,
Welcome back to school! We have moved most everything from our campus on Madison Street, unpacked, set up, and are busy getting the final details ready for you! It has been a busy summer. We are excited to begin this next chapter of AES on our temporary campus!
Our Pre-K Meet the Teacher Night is Monday, August 5, at 5:00 and 6:00. The teachers mailed letters to notify your family which time to be there. Please park in the lot off of East Forrest Street if there are no spaces in the front of the school. The Pre-K meeting will begin in the cafeteria for each session for an overview of arrival and dismissal information.

For students in Kindergarten - 3rd grade, class lists will be posted on Tuesday, August 6, before Meet the Teacher Night. Kindergarten and First Grades will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the gym. We will have a brief orientation meeting with some important traffic and beginning school information and then you will be dismissed to visit classrooms. We plan for K/1 to be finished by 5:45 so that the 2/3 families can park and have time to visit their classrooms.
The 2/3 grade meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the gym and then you will be dismissed to visit classrooms. The 2/3 meeting should end by 6:55. Please park in the parking lot on East Forrest Street by the football field and gym.

Since this campus is new to everyone, we have not planned a special session for new families this year. I am always happy to meet with you at any time, so please do not hesitate to ask questions and contact me via email (cindy.davis@acs-k12.org) or by calling the school (256-233-6609).
We are looking forward to seeing you! This is going to be FUN!
Sincerely,
Cindy Davis,
