Welcome to Tiogue...

We welcome Ms. Melanie Fitzgerald to our Life Skills Team on Monday.

Melanie has been awarded the 4 hours perm. position in Life Skills.

She had been helping in Charleen's room over the past month or so.

Please welcome her to Tiogue this week.

RICAS Scores will go home on Friday, November 1st if we get student reports delivered to schools next week.

Big picture

Thanks for your support of Herb's Family! They were so appreciative and honored.

Please sign up for our PTA Event, Breakfast With Santa...

This annual event will take place on December 7th - two seatings:

Chromebook repair procedure:

Now that there are many more devices in the elementary classrooms, I think we need to tweak the report/repair/return procedure for elementary school Chromebooks.

I would like to propose the following procedure:

1. A box will be kept in the main office for CB pickups and a separate box will be kept with the principal for returns.

2. When a teacher has an issue with a CB they should open a support ticket as they normally do.

3. Teachers will be directed to bring the unit to the main office where it will be kept in the box for pickup. Devices should be labelled with a room number.

4. Mark will come by and get the device, repair it and bring it back to the school's main office and place it the box left with the principal for returns.

5. Teacher will be notified that the device is ready to pickup.

My goal is to keep Mark from having to go all the way into classrooms and disrupt teachers to pick up devices, but this will also help get devices back in the classroom faster.

District PDP Goal - Trauma Informed, Yr 1

Don't forget that the PDP is due on OCT 31st.

We are also looking for 2 faculty/staff members to join a district-wide Trauma Informed "Champion Team". I had the chance to speak with a few of you this week about what we are looking for in a Champion for our school and our district.

There is an expectation that our school and district Champions will help to lead us during the next year - as we take part in the Trauma Informed Training through the $500K grant obtained last year.
