B Strong Together
BStrong Together is a 501(c)3 organization created to support parents, children and youth, community members and others impacting the lives of Barrington area children in our shared goal of raising happy, healthy, resilient children. It is a great resource for both families in crisis and families coping with the everyday issues of raising kids. The monthly e-newsletter is full of helpful links on timely issues, as well as events like guest speakers and monthly conversation circles (grouped by specific child ages.) As one High School Conversation Circle participant said, "“The greatest strength of the program is getting to know one another and sharing the struggle. Everyone is beginning to accept that there are often no right answers, but we go home more confident and informed about our parenting approaches.”
The next BStrong Together event will be:
“Anxiety in Children and Teens: Symptoms and Interventions"
Parent Coffee Wednesday, Sept. 25th at 9:30-11:00 am at the Campus Life Center
located at 150 S. Lageschulte Street in Barrington
Helping children stress less is difficult in today's high-pressure world. Join our experts as we talk about what is normal anxiety versus anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, and what parents can do to help.
