Grandparent's Night!
DOT Day!
What is International Dot Day? September 15th
The Dot by Peter Reynolds is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing. Dot Day is celebrated by nearly 3 million people in 107 countries! International Dot Day is celebrated on September 15th.
Art Display: Price students have read The Dot in art class and are creating dot themed art that Ms. Mahan will display in the hallways on Dot Day. Ms Mahan will also do an interactive art piece that some students will get to participate in!
Express your creativity: Students are invited to express themselves by wearing a creative dot themed outfit! Each classroom will vote on the most creative outfit in their classroom and those students will receive a certificate and a prize. Some of those students might get to help Ms. Mahan in an interactive art piece!
