Dear Families,
Below you will find many events at New Lebanon School, through the district, and community at large. I hope you will take advantage of all that our great community has to offer----now LIVE and in person!
Most importantly, you all should have gotten another special newsletter Friday night about Open House. There is only a live option. Childcare will be provided for those who need and are over 2 years of age. If you are unable to attend, you child's teacher or specialist can provide you with the powerpoint.
Finally, make sure to click the buttons and banners as they contain links to other resources and newsletters.
Your Interim Principal & Assistant Principal,

5th Grade Carwash
From the Advanced Learning Program
Greenwich is returning to the Pre-COVID best practice of giving all Grade 2 students the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) in October in advance of ALP Enrichment placement. Because these abilities are closely related to an individual’s success in school in virtually all subjects, data gathered from the CogAT is included as one aspect of the multiple measures which help the staff make decisions regarding students’ instructional needs.
The assessment will be given between October 24 and November 4. Scores will be made available to parents on or before November 11.
More information regarding the CoGAT Assessment is available here.
There will also be a parent information session on November 15, 2022. We will send the details closer to the date.
Important Information to Teach Children for Safety
Last week, we reminded you about helping your children use our norm (rule) BE SAFE, by having them memorize the following information. Another great strategy is to write this information on an index card for them to keep in their back pack!
- First and Last Names of Parents/Guardians
- Phone Number and Home Address
- Names of Family Members that are allowed for Parent Pick up
Picture Day Retake
RETAKES
If a student is choosing to have the individual photo re-taken, families should keep the class picture provided in the original package. However, the individual prints should be returned if they are choosing to have a retake.
RETAKE DATE- Tuesday, October 25
ATTENTION: 2ND GRADE - BROWN
Ms. Brown was absent on picture day, therefore, the class photo will be taken again on retake day (10/25). Please have your child be present and dress accordingly.
