From the Director
We've made it to the last week of the school year and CDS Middle School has come alive with activity and a sense of relief now that final exams are over. The halls of have been filled with singing as students rehearse their Arch Day songs and prepare for the Summer Concert.
Friday's Dalton Soiree was an incredibly fun and memorable way to cap off the school year. I was so impressed with the amount of thought and planning our Student Council put into the evening. Student all looked fantastic! We hardy recognized them in their beautiful dresses and formal wear. I want offer a sincere thank you to the the Student Council, teacher facilitators (Mrs. Koetje and Ms. Montelibano), and the several teachers who volunteered their time on Friday night to chaperone.
Next week we have many end of year events including the continuation of the MS Art Exhibition, the MS Summer Concert, Arch Day, and of course Graduation! Please find information about each of these within the Newsletter.
We sent NWEA MAP test Progress Reports home with students on Tuesday 5/28. These reports will show your child's growth over the entire school year in Math, Language Usage, and Reading. I encourage you to have a conversation with you child about their progress. If you need any help interpreting the results, please contact myself or your child's English or Math teacher.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the final days of the school year.
Have a great weekend!
Benjamin Scoville
Director of Middle School

Then, they need to be dressed and ready to go in Dalton Hall by 5:30pm. We are excited to share some music with you! If you have any questions or concern, please contact Ms. Van Liew!

[This week around CDS Middle School]
Math Class with Mrs. Hinds
The seniors became the teachers for a group of 5th graders and guided them around the school to solve real-world math problems that they had created. The 5th graders enjoyed getting out of the classroom and I enjoyed that they got more practice with hands-on real-world math. I want to thank Ms. Brady and her class for the opportunity they provided for the 5th graders!
