Do you have a cool vehicle that preschool students might like to see?
Each year, Milford Preschool teaches a unit about roads/transportation to its students. During the unit, students learn about various service, personal and recreational vehicles.
In previous years, we have organized a Vehicle Day for students! It is a hands-on experience, learning about and exploring various vehicles. Local businesses have also enjoyed spending time with the children and sharing their jobs and vehicle experiences.
This year, Vehicle Day is Wednesday, April 17th. We need your help to make this event successful! If you have a vehicle that would be interesting to our students and can volunteer to come on the 17th please let us know! This could be a recreational vehicle or a work-related vehicle or piece of equipment. Please let us know by March 28th if you have a vehicle for this event.
Thank you!
Parent Survey
It's hard to believe that we are entering the 4th quarter of the school year! As we wrap up the year, we are always trying to find ways to improve our practices. Therefore, we would like to invite all preschool families to take a parent survey about your preschool experience. Your feedback is important to us!

District News
MJHS Open House 3/13 and 3/30
The Milford Board of Education voted to place a 4.7 mill bond issue on the May 7, 2019 ballot. A major part of the issue is to replace Milford Junior High School with a new middle school (grades 6-8). The construction project will take approximately four years to complete.
Our junior high, built in 1962, is undersized and outdated, and not economically feasible to maintain. The building was intended for 750 students. With a current enrollment of 1,050 junior high students, the building is overcrowded with students and teachers in modular units and spaces not intended to be used as classrooms.
Shifting from a junior high (grades 7-8) to a middle school (grades 6-8) provides significant academic benefits and ensures all sixth graders have access to the same resources. With three of our six elementary schools at capacity, moving sixth graders to a middle school will also provide enough space at our elementary schools to avoid significant redistricting and/or potential additions to some schools and give us the ability to expand full-day kindergarten.
We welcome you to see the junior high firsthand and learn more about our facility plans. An open house will be held at Milford Junior High School, 5735 Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road, on Wednesday, March 13, from 5-7 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m.- noon.
