Counselor's Corner
Lago Vista ISD’s character trait for the month of November is giving.
November’s guidance lesson will center on charity. We will promote charity as a way to positively impact society.
Here is an excellent article on how to incorporate charity into your family.
https://www.parents.com/parenting/money/donate-to-charity/9-ways-to-teach-your-child-about-charity/
To consider if you choose to give as a family:
*Who are we donating to? *Why do we want to help them? *What type of donation have we chosen (money, goods, and/or time/services)? * How much money do we want to give? * What kinds of items do we want to donate and how many? * What kinds of services would we like to offer and how often? What steps will we take? * When will we take each step? * Who is responsible for each task on the list? * Are there any tasks that can be done at the same time? * Are there any tasks for which we will need adult help or supervision? * What other questions do we need to answer before we can implement your plan?
