Still Laying the Foundation...
Even though we are in year three, we are still laying the foundation of HCCPHS. We are still building and growing. Our campus is all about reflecting and improving, from students to staff and this past week, we continued to look at our Campus Improvement Plan to see what we were able to accomplish and what still needs work. We know the work is really never done and we will always be in pursuit of perfection.
We have also laid the foundation of our first prom! Our juniors worked hard to pull off our first ever prom and had a great time playing the tables at the Casino Royale. It was a nice evening to get all dressed up and get to hang out with our Falcons in a non-academic way. They were able to cut loose and dance the night away.
As we continue to work through the last weeks of school, we also had a moment to start looking ahead for next school year and our first graduating class. It is so close we can smell it!! Can you class of 2024?? We appreciate everyone who joined us for the Rising Junior and Rising Senior presentations and the presentations are linked here.

Spring Final Exam Exemption Info
Second semester final exam exemptions are available in all high school courses for students in who:
● have a minimum of an 85 average in each course applicable for exemption
● have no referrals that result in OSS, CDC, or JJAEP
● have no more than 3 absences total for the spring semester (per class period), excluding college visits or school sponsored activities. Any appeals must be referred to the campus principal.
● have no more than 3 tardies in the course for which he/she is seeking a final exam exemption
● have been issued no more than 10 temporary IDs for the school year
● have cleared all outstanding fines or fees prior to the semester exam
NOTE: DUAL CREDIT AND ONRAMPS DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES MAY BE REQUIRED TO TAKE FINALS AS ASSIGNED BY THE INSTRUCTOR.

CISD is Still Growing! Early Voting has Begun!
And is projected to grow by nearly 7,000 students in the next five years.
To address this growth, the Comal ISD Board of Trustees called a Bond Election for Saturday, May 6.
This bond will appear as three separate propositions on the ballot
And, it will NOT result in a tax rate increase.
Comal ISD is committed to continuing its legacy of fiscal responsibility by only acquiring debt that can be paid off with the current I&S tax rate.
That rate is 35 cents.
In fact, Comal ISD has the lowest effective tax rate than all of the eight surrounding school districts.
