Sheldon Coates News
June 2020
Principal's Corner
What a year we have had! These past few months have been full of new learning, a few challenges, and many unknowns. Thank you to all families for the hard work they have put in to help their child succeed during this at-home learning period.
We have had a lot of fun with the weekly outdoor challenges. Thank you to all who have participated, and for sharing your photos. Our wish is that you continue to get outdoors to explore and play, summer is here!
It was great to see so many Sheldon Coates families during our April parade, and also at our Drive by Year End Celebration this past week. We have greatly missed you all and love seeing so many smiling faces in and around the community.
This month has been bittersweet for me (Michelle) as it is my last month at Sheldon Coates School. While I am excited for my move and the new adventures that it will bring, I will deeply miss the students, the staff, and the school community. Sheldon Coates has been like a second home for me these past 12 years, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for your continued support, for raising such amazing children, and for the joy you bring to the Sheldon Coates family.
I (Arthur) am excited to be joining the Sheldon Coates community as your new principal. I look forward to working collaboratively with staff, students, and families to build on the school’s many strengths, and to provide the best possible learning experience for our children.
Have a wonderful summer break!
Yours in teaching,
Michelle Bolay and Arthur Cota
