A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Pine Road Families,
We continue to enjoy the buzz and excitement in our halls that has come with the return to 5 days of in-person learning! I thank you all in the Pine Road Community for facilitating this significant step towards a return to normalcy at Pine Road! As the weather continues to warm up I wanted to provide you with a few quick updates.
Recess
Due to the CDC’s adjusted guidance on surface transmission of the COVID-19 virus, we will begin to allow for students to return to using playground equipment. Please review with your students at home that they will still need to follow all masking and social distancing guidelines!
Wednesday PM
We are thrilled to be able to offer Wednesday PM support to our families! As you can imagine these afternoons involve a lot of very nuanced logistics! To support the safety and quality of our program we ask the following:
Please make every effort to communicate any Wednesday attendance changes by Tuesday afternoon.
Please review with your students that all safety and behavioral expectations still apply on Wednesday PM.
Car-line and Walkers
Please see further information below regarding updates to Car Line and Walker dismissal. We are seeing unprecedented volume in our car line. This volume is causing significant congestion in the area around the school. Your cooperation is essential to our safety and success.
We are thrilled to have so many of our learners back in the school 5 days a week! The cooperation of the entire school community will be necessary to make our return a continued success!
Sincerely,
Scott Cole
Principal

Walker Line -Update-
- Parents and guardians, please stand at the flagpole grassy area outside of the library.
- We ask that you please do not congregate into groups as you wait for your student.
- Please bring a pen and photo ID with you for pick-up
- All walkers MUST cross at the crosswalk if entering the neighborhood across from school.
- If walking to the neighborhoods behind or next to school, we ask that you please be mindful of the bus loop and walk on the sidewalk.
- Do not park your car in the Pine Road parking lot and walk to get your student.
Car Line Protocol
- Adults should not exit vehicles. We have staff that is fully prepared to assist students safely entering and exiting vehicles.
- Unless directed by school staff, please do not pass other cars in the car line. This can create dangerous situations.
- While waiting on Pine Road to enter the loop, please ensure you are not blocking our side streets.
- Please have your car-line name tag clearly displayed. If you need a tag, please ask Mr. Radway as he is checking you in, and we can ensure you receive one.
- It is the expectation that parents follow the guidance of our crossing guard. She is crucial in managing a heavy volume of traffic please comply, respectfully, with her direction.
- Please ensure that you are not impeding traffic entering onto Pine Road from Byberry or County Line
- Please avoid arriving at the car line before 3:05 pm. Early arrivals contribute to traffic concerns on Pine Road. Our team is extremely efficient at dismissing students and the extreme back up only serves to lengthen the dismissal window.

As we move into Tax Season, we invite you to learn more on how you can decrease your Tax Liability while investing in your school. If you own a business or work for a company in the state of Pennsylvania, now is the time to act.
