Thumbs up to surviving the first week of 4th grade!
This Week!
What a great first full week! I am enjoying getting to know all your students and seeing the positive interactions that they are having. Here is what we worked on:
*Ask your student to give you some character traits to describe them!
Math: We started Unit 1, discussing place value to the millions, rounding and different ways to write numbers. (expanded form, standard form and written form) See a picture below to get a peek into some of our learning.
Writing: Students started their first writing project of the school year called "A Summer to Tweet About". We are focusing on paragraph writing and capital letters, correct punctuation and best fourth grade spelling. Please be helping your students at home with using these focus skills every time they are writing.
Science/Social Studies: We have been still going through procedures and learning more about our classroom and classmates this week.
