December Edition
Christmas Card Update
Thank you to Ruth Guthrie and Kathy Stout from the board, parents, and staff who helped us put the Christmas Card together. It turned out beautifully! The Parks Department has picked it up and you will be able to see it on display at Bixler Lake.
On The Move With Infants
The year of 2015 is rapidly approaching to an end. However, the infants are far from the end of their growth. The infants are continuing to grow physically and intellectually. Gross motor skills has been a focus of interest to the infants. Some are walking along furniture, trying to crawl and holding themselves while on their tummy! The infants have been engaged in fun and new activities, allowing them to experience new textures and objects. We are looking forward to what the new year brings as the infants continue to explore their world around them!

Toddler News
December already?!...2015 has been an eventful year. The toddlers have hit many milestones this year and the future looks bright. They continue to progress verbally, physically and emotionally every day. They have enjoyed several holiday themed projects this month, such as making pine-cone trees. Learning about the birth of baby Jesus and all of the animals in the nativity has been fun and interesting for them. Merry Christmas from the toddler class!

Happenings With Pre-K
As many of you know Miss Kayla and Miss Debbie are now in the preschool classroom. The classroom has been changed around a bit. The children have been showing an ever growing desire to build. We have created an entire center dedicated to just that, building. They have an opportunity to discuss their plans with classmates, draw their plans out, and decide how to execute that plan. Our preschoolers have a deep desire to learn about all things. Just this week we had a student ask, "How do teeth stay in your mouth?" So that will be a topic of discussion today. We are excited to finish out the end of the 2015 year in the preschool classroom and to help cultivate the children's development.
Arriving to TPELC June 2016
Miss Kayla and her husband Dallas are expecting their second baby! They are due June 18, 2016. Miss Kayla also has a 20 month old, Gracelyn, who attends TPELC in the toddler room.
What's Cookin'?
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It's hard to believe that December is here and it's time to start thinking about Christmas already. Here is a fun treat to make at home with your child!
What You Need-
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
24 peanut butter sandwich cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
3 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted
48 Mini OREO Bite Size Cookies
2 Tbsp. decorating icing
What To Do-
Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls; place in single layer in shallow pan. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in chocolate; place in shallow waxed paper-lined pan, allowing excess chocolate to pool at bottom of each ball. Decorate with remaining ingredients to resemble snowmen.
Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Keep refrigerated.
