SHERMAN STARS - WORKING TOGETHER
FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE
Principal's Message
Hi Sherman Families:
Parent / Teacher Conferences are this upcoming Thursday, October 25 from 8 a.m. -12 p.m., 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to connect with your student's teacher and discuss the beginning of the year progress your student has made. It is also a good time to set both academic and social-emotional goals for your student with their teacher. The home to school partnership is critical to your student's success. Below are some good ways you can create a productive discussion between you and your student's teacher.
- Share with the teacher what your student's life at home is like
- Ask about your student's strengths and weaknesses
- Ask what you can do at home to support what is happening in the classroom
- Ask for explanations on anything you don't understand.
If you have any questions about conferences, please reach out as we are happy to assist you in any way.
We are looking forward to seeing you next Thursday. Also, please remember that tonight is our Sherman Spooktacular from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sincerely,
Joel Dimock
