The Heritage Herald
November 17, 2023
Hello HMS Families,
The holiday season is finally here. As always, HMS has plenty of fun events planned for our students, as well as continued expectations for learning. As we approach this exciting time of year, please take the time to remind your child of schoolwide expectations.
We've also wrapped up another great Spirit Week. Students are expected to return to their regular uniform each day. We look forward to talking to everyone during Parent Teachers conferences.
A few reminders:
- Make sure your child charges his/her chromebook each night.
- Students should be in uniform each day (Jeans can be worn on Fridays.)
- School starts at 7:50; 8:50 on Wednesdays.
- If your child is absent, they (or you) can email their teacher for their assignments.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Malone, Principal

Parent Teacher Conferences-November 20, 2023
Parent Teacher Conferences are on November 20, 2023; 1:00-7:00. We look forward to talking to and/or seeing you.
If you need help with accessing PowerSchool, please let the teachers know at conferences.
- Gathering season is here! Do your best to eat well, get adequate sleep, and exercise habits to stay healthy!
- Hand washing is the single most important way to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Use soap, warm water and disposable paper towels and wash your hands frequently.
Cover coughs and sneezes and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Germs spread easily this way!
Improve air quality with air purifiers or open windows for fresh air! Well-ventilated rooms help reduce the numbers of airborne germs inside.
Enjoy this break with your families. Gratitude is good for your health!
