Oct. 24, 2021

Dear Robert Hunter families,

We can’t believe it’s already time for Halloween! We look forward to coming together as a whole school for our parade, and we are so happy that we are once again able to share these experiences in-person together! Let’s hope for good weather on Friday! Reminder, should there be inclement weather, we will have an indoor parade for children only. Classroom parties will still be held at their scheduled times. Children should still come to school dressed in their costumes. More information regarding Halloween can be found below.

Please mark your calendars and note that we have some days off coming up.

We hope you have all been enjoying this fall season with your families!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

Thank you, Ms. Moncada!

We wish Ms. Viviana Moncada, who has been our bilingual school counselor, all the best as she transitions into her new full-time role at Desmares School. We thank her for all the support that she has provided for students, staff, and families at Robert Hunter. We look forward to welcoming Ms. Susan Severino to Robert Hunter as our full-time bilingual school counselor. Ms. Severino will be working closely with Ms. Fontanez to support our school community. We will be sharing more information about Ms. Severino and our counseling program in our next newsletter.

Please see a message from Ms. Moncada here:

I've had the honor of working with some of you. I offered my support or clarified questions. I was the communication bridge between you and your children, or sometimes I offered community resources. Next week will be my last at Robert Hunter as I will be working full-time at Desmares School. My time at school was short but very significant. Thank you for allowing me to enter your families and support your children. Beginning October 27, Ms. Susan Severino will be Robert Hunter's new Bilingual Counselor. She will continue to work with Mrs. Sarah Fontanez. I wish you all the best for the rest of the school year!

Please see our flyer for our Halloween parade HERE. If you would prefer that your child not participate in Halloween activities, please email your child’s teacher, so that we can plan alternate activities. Please note that if it rains, we will have our parade indoors and families will not be able to watch the parade. If that is the case, we will take lots of pictures to share on Twitter and in the yearbook! In the event of inclement weather, we will send an email/phone message through school messenger early morning on Friday.

Picture Make-Up Day

Picture Make Up Day will be tomorrow, October 25th. We have received a list of students whose families requested re-takes. If your child missed picture day, please be sure to register them if you haven't already done so HERE.

Please contact with any questions.
