Updates on Storm Days.
Hello!
I wanted to send out an update regarding our storm days. During that lovely stormy week, we had a total of four storm days that we used. It is our position as a school district that we will use our storm days first and then go into virtual learning if needed. We currently only have three storm days built into our school calendar. So, as of now, we will have school on March 2nd, 16th, and May 25th for students. We have extra student contact hours built into our calendar, so students will NOT be making up the fourth day. If there is one thing we learned during the pandemic, it is that we value in person instruction and having our students in school. Mr. Weber and Mrs. Helseth have talked to their staff members and students about our expectations for virtual learning. Please remember that virtual learning will look different in the elementary, middle and high school. Also keep in mind, this is one day and not a pandemic.
After living in Arizona for 10 years, I realized how much I missed the seasons. Winter does bring its challenges, but it also bring so much enjoyment with all of our winter activities! I had the honor of attending our State Dance competition and look forward to my full calendar in the upcoming months.
Please remember that if you have any questions or concerns, my door is always open. I want to hear from you!
