PARENT PARTNERSHIP

What does your teacher mean when you are asked to "make text connections" during reading?

Good readers think through their reading. One way to do this is by making text connections. You can connect what you are reading now to another book you've read before, something that has happened to you before, or something else in the world.

As you read with your child at home, please have them make these connections. Thank you for your support at home!
