Children's Ministry Happenings
Bazillion Book Drive
Statistics show that children not reading by 3rd grade have little chance graduating from high school. In under-resourced communities 80% of children are not reading at grade level! The Bazillion Book Drive initiative wants to help change the lives of these kids.
Our church will be collecting NEW children's books now and throughout May. Collection bins will be located by my office and in the children's building. Book by book we can make a difference.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and baseball on Sunday, May 1st at 3 p.m. at Regions Field when the Birmingham Barons take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Sponsored by the children’s ministry, tickets are $10 each (children 2 and under are FREE) and includes hamburgers/BBQ, baked beans, chips, potato salad, cookies and a drink! There is a $40 family cap (immediate families please). Where else can you get such a bargain! We’ve rented out the Home Run Porch so you can spend time watching the game and socialize with your family and friends. To reserve your tickets, please contact beth@fumctrussville.com and let her know how many tickets. Checks can be made to FUMC Trussville; be sure to note Barons game on the check. Tickets MUST be pre-purchased as this allows for us to plan properly for food. Invite your friends!
