September Read Alouds and Activities!
Miss Karen did some fun activities and read alouds!
- We celebrated National Dot Day by reading THE Dot by Peter Reynolds and designing our own dots, which we displayed on a banner in the hallway.
- On National Pirate Day we read the story How I Became A Pirate by Melinda Long, and made pirate hats.
- We also talked about Tall Tales in September and read some "not as well heard of" ones like Jackrabbit McCabe and the Electric Telegraph by Lucy Rozier and other book was, Levi Strauss Gets a Bright Idea by Tony Johnston. We wrote a short Tall Tale of our own.
