Grade Student Work
You can grade student work on both your iPad and your computer. The instructions below will walk you through the process on both devices.
Grade Student Work - iPad
You can access work that your students have completed through the Assignment folder that you created or the Awaiting Review folder.
From the Assignment Folder
- Navigate to the class, the to the assignment.
- Select the assignment.
- Tap the drop-down option next to Assignment Materials.
- Select Assignment Submissions.
- The list of assignments that your students have turned in will appear.
- Select an assignment to grade.
- Tap the MarkIt button to access the pen tool.
- Grade the paper.
- Tap Save.
- Enter a grade and any necessary comments.
- Tap either Complete Review and Return or Complete and Open Next.

Grade Student Work - Computer
There are three ways to access work that students have completed. You can access them in your eBox, in Assignments Awaiting Review, and in the Assignment Folder.
- Navigate to the appropriate assignment folder.
- Select the Assignment Folder.
- In the right-hand column, select the Assignment Submission box.
- Select the Grade button to view and grade.
- The student's work will open in a new window.
- The toolbar across the top of the page allows you to type comments on the student's paper, write on the paper, and draw shapes.
- Once you've finished grading the paper, enter the grade in the left-hand column.
- Leave comments if necessary in the Comment area.
- Tap the Review & Return button to complete the process.
eBackpack Grade Computer
ASSIGNMENT
For this assignment, you will grade a student's completed work. Everything you need to complete this assignment can be found in the eBackpack Training Class of your eBackpack.
- Open the eBackpack
- Navigate to the eBackpack Training class. (It has your name on it.)
- Click on the eBackpack Training Materials folder.
- Open the Grade Digital Assignment answers document. This document is in the answer key to the assignment you will grade.
- Open assignment that the student submitted for the eBackpack Grade Digital Assignment and grade the assignment.
- Your grading must include all of the following: handwritten marks on the student's paper, and a grade.
*You may grade this assignment on either the iPad or your computer.
