Note from Mrs. Bland
Hello Paddock Families!
I hope everyone has had a GREAT week! I am so proud of our school community! Our in-person students are adjusting nicely to the new school routines and we are so grateful for all of your patience and grace as we've altered our school environment! Our virtual students are doing an amazing job as well! I hear from the virtual teachers about the cool things they are doing in their classes. This has been such a challenging year and I love how our school community has risen to the challenge! Way to go, Panthers!
Thank you to the parents who have been joining us for our monthly PTA meetings. Please consider joining the Paddock PTA and attending our monthly meetings. In the next section of this newsletter, you'll see information about our Winter Wishes Program- which is sponsored by the PTA. This is just one example of all the great work this organization does for our school.
Now that Fall weather is upon us, please be aware that your child should dress appropriately for the changing weather. Layers are important as we are going outside as much as possible for mask breaks and daily recess. Paddock follows the District 15 Recess Plan that can be access at this link: https://www.ccsd15.net/Page/67 .
Have a safe and relaxing weekend!
Warm regards,
Dr. Bland

Please Read These Guidelines
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, your child must meet one of the following conditions to return to school:
Medical Evaluation and Testing are Strongly Recommended for ALL Persons with COVID-Like Symptoms
❏ A written negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test (a rapid molecular test or antigen test is unacceptable) OR
❏ A physician’s note stating the COVID-like symptoms is caused by an alternate diagnosis and there is no clinical suspicion for COVID-19 infection OR
❏ 10 days have passed with symptoms improved and fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
If your child is at home because a sibling is experiencing symptoms, a note from you stating the symptomatic child has met one of the conditions above, is all that is needed.
If one of the household members is being evaluated for COVID-19, the rest of the household must be quarantined until an alternative diagnosis is made or a negative result received (Note that cases/probable cases are to isolate for a minimum of 10 calendar days, while contacts/probable contacts are to quarantine for 14 calendar days).
If your student attends CARE they will need to provide appropriate documentation before returning.
Please reach out with any questions or assistance.
