Dollenger says....
It is good to be busy!
Many things are back! Sports are going strong. Prom is back, although it will look a bit different. Senior awards are back. Graduation is back, though it too will look a bit different. It is good to be back. It can also be confusing and at times feel a bit weird. After all, how back are we?
Here are some reminders to help us all navigate. Please remember that as we come back, we want to come back strong. Graduation, Proms, and Awards are important events and we want to bring it back with as much dignity and decorum as possible. Please remember that these are formal events and that proper dress is required. Coming back to a live in-person graduation will require shirts and ties and dresses just like years before. We will be together as the class of 2021 and we owe each the common respect of presenting our best selves. Please take note of the specific detailed information coming out for each event.
Also, coming back involves maintaining the safety protocols that we are given. As masks mandates are relaxed for many outdoor events, they still do remain for others. North East High must follow and enforce the mandates given to us by our state and local officials. Please be aware and follow the guidelines for each specific event you plan on attending; the expectations often change depending on the type of event. It can be confusing. However, compliance at our events so far has been excellent. Everyone’s cooperation is greatly appreciated and as far as I can tell, the North East Community has led the way and provided an example of cooperating to keep our schools and events open. Thank you all.
