Semana 1, Día 5
¡Feliz viernes, el veintitres
¡Enhorabuena! Shout out to Way to go!
Noticías: Project due tomorrow - Let´s look at what it is to include:
Part 1: Writing
Write an essay in Spanish about yourself (personally) / your life (in present tense). You should include a paragraph (of at least 4 sentences) about each of the following topics. Each topic should be in a separate paragraph that has 4 sentences minimum.
- your school
- your family
- your hobbies
- food
- shopping
- your community
This 6 paragraph essay needs to be well thought out and planned. You should answer the prompt thoroughly/with great detail. You should also use as much variety of sentences as possible in your paragraphs (in other words, do not repeat the same verbs / expressions in each sentence).
Since this is your first true writing assignment in Spanish, remember that it must be 100% your own work and must come from your own brainpower. As we have discussed, you are NOT allowed to use dictionaries, online translators, Google searches, or to ask anybody (except me, your teacher) for help composing sentences on any assignments. Using anything other than the course itself, and your own brainpower, is considered to be a violation of the Academic Integrity Policy. Your grammar and sentence structure is not expected to be perfect by any means - you are just beginning your 2nd semester of Spanish and you are expected to make mistakes with vocabulary and grammar, but I will give you feedback to help you grown and learn from those errors.
Part 2: Speaking
Record yourself speaking in Spanish about what you are going to do this coming year (in simple/near future tense). (See tech info below for recording options). You should talk about the following topics as best as you can:
- your school
- your family
- your hobbies
- food
- shopping
- your community
Note: This part is NOT just reading what you wrote for Part 1. Your text should be completely different, as this part is in the simple/near future.
Lección: Here´s all the Spanish 1 vocabulary. Give it a quick run through before you start your projects.
