No matter how you smoke tobacco, it will always be dangerous to your health and your body overall. Though the list of effects of smoking could continue forever, there are 10 major repercussions that are the most important to highlight. They are as follows:

Deaths Caused By Smoking
In the U.S, more than 1,300 people die each day due to smoking.
Secondhand Smoking
More than 42,000 people, including 900 infants, die each year due to secondhand smoke.
Cancer Linked to Tobacco
Tobacco use accounts for at least 30% of all cancer deaths, including 87% of lung cancer deaths in men, and 70% of lung cancer deaths in women.
What is in a Cigarette?
Cigarette smoke alone contains a toxic mix of more than 7,000 chemicals. In the actual cigarette, there is a mix of 13+ toxins and other products used to make the deadly combination. Some of the most recognizable ingredients are:
- Ammonia (household cleaners)
- Benzene (gasoline, motor oil)
- Cadmium (batteries)
- Formaldehyde (shampoo, explosives)
- Styrene (car tires, asphalt)

Way to Quit Smoking
Though it may seem like an impossible task, many people have successfully quit smoking using one of the following methods, or one of their own. The most likely way to quit is by using Nicotine patches, gum, or other products containing Nicotine. These products help you to slowly lose the need for the addiction without providing you with the tobacco. Along with this, many people use family support and therapy alone. These people rely on others to ensure them that they do not need the tobacco to continue on with their life. Here is a list of a few more ways to quit smoking:
