Medivac Helicopter Demo at JHHS on May 14th
Hello Handley Neighbors,
I just wanted to share with you that on Friday, May 14th at 9:00 AM, PHI AirCare will be landing a medivac helicopter on the upper field behind John Handley High School.
The AirCare staff will be presenting information to our EMT, CNA, and OT/PT students on air medical transport operations. This information will include dispatch, landing zones, treatment, and transport of critically ill and injured patients as outlined in the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards (NEMSES). Winchester Fire & Rescue will be supplying a fire engine on site to set up our landing zone. This landing is based solely on weather permitting May 14th. If you have any questions, please contact me at kablan@wps.k12.va.us or 540-662-3471.
Thank you always for supporting John Handley High School.
Respectfully,
Shahrazad Kablan
John Handley High School Principal
