Weekly Parent Update
March 18th, 2016
Student Placement Procedure
The parent placement procedure letter and form can now be found on our Dorothy Nolan website under the parent information tab. If you choose to fill out the form, please send it to the main office in a sealed envelope by Friday, April 1st.
THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped welcome our future Cheetahs during K screening days!
YEARBOOK: Keep those yearbook pictures coming to email@example.com.
HSA GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held on Sat., Oct. 1st. We are in the process of collecting donations for auction items as well as sponsorships for the tournament and forms can be found on the DN website or request a copy to be sent home. If you have any questions or would like to be a part of the planning please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. *** Like the 'Dorothy Nolan HSA Golf Tournament' page on Facebook for details and updates.***
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER: After considering several school photographers, the decision has been made to remain with Adirondack School Portraits. Their price points, customer service, and generosity to our school through "smile coupons", banners/plaques, and free pictures for our dances made them the best fit for our school. If you would like more information on this process or the decision please contact us at email@example.com.
CHEETAH PROJECT will be held in May this year. Forms will be coming out in April and classes will be set before Spring Break. If you are interested in teaching a class please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
5th Grade Moving Up Dvd
Don't forget to get your child's 5th grade photos in for the Fifth Grade Moving Up DVD. We are asking that all photos are turned in no later than April 22nd.
Please label each photo with each student's name and grade. For example, a photo of John Smith and Jane Doe in fifth grade would be labeled as jsmith jdoe 5.
Photos may be submitted by sending in a flash drive, cd or dvd. All photos and devices will be returned as soon as possible.
SNACPack Food Drive
The SNACPack program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children on weekends, when other resources are not available. The program provides backpacks filled with food that is child-friendly, shelf-stable, and easily-consumed. Bags are packed each week by volunteers and discreetly distributed to participating children every Friday afternoon.
The SNACPack program will be collecting goods at Dorothy Nolan. They are looking for 4 items which include:
- Protein Bars
- Mac & Cheese, Water Only type (Ex. Easy Mac, Velveeta)
- 100% Juice Boxes
- Pasta (any type)
Donations can be dropped off in the front lobby. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
