Faculty F.Y.I.
June 19, 2020
It was a joy to be together with you this past Monday evening for our end of year gathering. A special thank you to Cheryl O. for her years of dedicated service to our students and school community. Her joyful presence and passion for the arts was a blessing to our community and will be deeply missed.
As previously announced, we're excited to welcome Mrs. Debra Danis to our team as our new art teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Please join me in giving Debra a warm welcome to our school!
I also want to take a moment to recognize those teachers and staff who have been able to participate on our Fall Preparedness Team. We've been meeting weekly to tackle the wide range of challenges presented by re-opening. It's a daunting task, but our staff has answered the call with creativity, grit, and determination. I am incredibly grateful, and I look forward to finalizing a detailed re-opening plan that is responsive to the needs of our community.
As many of you may know, the Rhode Island Department of Education released additional guidance for school re-openings this afternoon. Myself and the team will be working through this guidance, and the Catholic Schools Office at the Diocese of Providence is developing a system for peer review of re-opening plans to assist in the process. You can see my message to school families regarding the RIDE guidance and development of a re-opening plan here.
Wishing you some respite and relaxation during these summer months!
Sincerely,
Kevin Peloquin
