WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS

CLP PROTOCOL UPDATE

We would like everyone to continue wearing a mask in church for a little bit longer. Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone while on our campus. There are new registration cards in each pew to fill out each week and place in a basket near one of the doors. As brothers and sisters in Christ we feel we can do so for a bit longer as one way of demonstrating our love for one another. Your Council on Ministries and Board of Directors appreciates the way you love and care for one another!

WE NEED YOUR OPINIONS - DEADLINE IS JUNE 13

WHAT'S COMING UP DURING JUNE AT OUR CHURCH

CELEBRATING THE LORD’S SUPPER

Sunday, June 6, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper in worship. Children will be in worship with their families. If you are participating online, please have a small piece of bread or cracker and a small cup of juice, wine, or water available. We will all receive the elements together when instructed to do so.

COFFEE FELLOWSHIP

Coffee fellowship is coming back! Beginning Sunday, June 6, coffee will be served every Sunday morning between the 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. worship services in the front courtyard under the trees and shade canopies. Our hope is to provide an opportunity for attendees of both services to meet new friends and get to know more people. Donut holes will be served on the first Sunday of each month as part of Celebration Sundays.

CELEBRATION SUNDAYS & SUNDAY SCHOOL

We are thrilled to announce that in-person Sunday school is returning to CLP beginning Sunday, June 13, during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. On Celebration Sundays - the first Sunday of each month beginning June 6 - children will remain in worship with their parents. The service will include a short children’s message, activity bags, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Please remember that from 8:50-9:25 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month coffee and donut holes are served outside by the fountain. The remaining Sundays of each month, Sunday school will be offered for children entering pre-K through 5th grade in the classrooms located on the south end of the campus. Masks are required for in-person Sunday school and distancing measures will be implemented. A virtual option will also be made available for children participating at home. We are still working on providing nursery care for children two years old and younger.

WAYS YOU CAN DONATE TO THE CHURCH

There are many ways to ensure that your financial gifts will reach The Church at Litchfield Park. You can find detailed directions by clicking DONATE at the bottom of the home page of the church web site, www.churchatlitchfieldpark.org. There is a direct link you can open using your web browser. You can download the GivePlus app on Android or iPhone. You can also text to give using a special number on your cell phone. You can write a check and mail it directly to the church. You can use the Bill Pay service provided by banks and financial institutions. And of course, you may drop cash or checks into the offering plates at the exit doors on Sunday mornings. Look for details on any of these methods on our web home page.

WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HANDBELLS?

Have you ever wondered what it is like to ring a handbell? Have you ever wondered if you could ring in one of our handbell choirs? One does not have to read music. Marilyn will teach you how to do that, too. If you would like to learn how to play this beautiful instrument, please contact our Bell Master, Marilyn Chandler, or call our church office at (623) 935-3411. Don’t say you can’t play handbells; you won’t know for sure unless you try!

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you love sharing God’s love with children? We plan to begin offering in-person Sunday School for children entering pre-K through fifth grade beginning Sunday, June 13 during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. We would welcome additional teachers (in person and those willing to record lessons for children participating at home), classroom helpers, and people willing to help coordinate behind the scenes. If you are available and willing to help please sign up on the website or contact the church office.
