Kuna families
It was another great week in the Kuna School District!
Thursday, we were grateful for all those who attended our Study Circle on our Capital Plan. Your feedback matters! (More on that below.)
Today, I was able to slip over to Kuna High School to watch the student and staff skits at the homecoming assembly. It was great to see the spirit-filled tradition back to normal. (Hands down the teachers tribute to Michael Jackson rocked the house.)
About a half hour later, we shared that the game would be moved to 2 p.m. Saturday and the dance moved to KHS because of poor air quality in the Treasure Valley. You can learn more about our air quality monitoring on our website.
➡️ Tuesday: The school board holds its regularly monthly meeting. You can review the agenda on our website. You are welcome to attend or watch the live stream.
⏰ Time to provide feedback ending soon!
Patrons share thoughts on building needs, taxes
Thursday, the Capital Plan Task Force hosted a community meeting to listen to feedback on their 10 year visions for new schools and facility upgrades and which project to tackle first. Thanks to all who attended!
Missed the meeting?
🆕 KHS, SFHS to start at 7:35 a.m.
Swan Falls and Kuna high schools' start and end times will change by 5 minutes. School will start at 7:35 a.m. at both schools. Morning bus stop pick-up times will NOT change. The change will help ensure students can arrive at the schools on time without being late for classes. Here’s the link to the updated period-by-period daily schedule.
✔️Update on grades in PowerSchool
Last week, we shared that grades are available in PowerSchool and that we are working to ensure grades in PowerSchool and Schoology match. We shared that we'd have an update for elementary parents this week.
Elementary Coordinator and Reed Elementary Principal Kevin Gifford shared that teachers in 3rd-5th grades will use Schoology for their grades and this will be viewable in PowerSchool as well.
Teachers in K-2nd grades will record final grades in Schoology which will be viewable in PowerSchool at the end of each trimester. They will communicate student progress to parents throughout the trimester.
➡️ Coming next week: How to access Parent Accounts in Schoology.
⚠️ Suicide prevention phone number is now 988
