The PTO is kicking off our fall fundraiser with Rite Bite Butter Braids! Order your breakfast for the upcoming holiday season and support HBMS! The fundraiser will run from 10/11-10/28. Your student will be bringing home an order form on Tuesday, 10/11. Order forms and money are due by Friday, 10/28. You can also place your order online by using this link! Orders will be available for pickup at the school on November 9th. Thank you so much for your support!
Halloween Fun
Let's have some fun! Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes this year if they so choose. However, students who come to school in costumes that are violent in nature, inappropriately revealing, or culturally offensive will be asked to change into regular clothing. Students may NOT paint their entire face or wear costume masks. NO FAKE or LOOK ALIKE WEAPONS of any kind, even if they are plastic. Beardsley administration reserves the right to ask students to change if a costume is deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the school environment. Please check with an administrator if you have any questions. Additional note: Because of the health needs of many of our students, we will not have classroom parties. NO food will be allowed in classrooms. Please plan ahead and avoid dropping items off at school for your student that are not needed for class/academic work.
HBMS Dineout Night
Join us at Portillo’s on Tuesday, October 18th from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. Mention you are supporting the HBMS fundraiser and Portillo’s will donate 20% of the sale. See website for more information!

Please note: We have received reports from Downtown Crystal Lake and the Crystal Lake Police Department that some D47 middle school students are creating disturbances (vandalism, stealing, etc.) in downtown Crystal Lake after school on early release days. Crystal Lake businesses welcome D47 students after school, but they are expected to be respectful and responsible. If your child is planning to go downtown with friends, please talk to them about this and stress the importance of respecting our local businesses, their customers and our community. Thank you!
