Eagleville Elementary-Eagles Nest
Dr. Harmer Principal 10/7/22
Message from Dr. Harmer-Read-A-Thon Update Keep Reading!
Thanks to your support, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of $20,000 for the Eagleville Fall Read-athon! With one week to go, we've received close to $12,000 in generous donations - AMAZING!
Since we've surpassed the half-way point to our goal, that means Dr. Harmer will be showing his Eagleville school spirit in the hallways with a fun costume in the coming weeks!
On top of the fantastic donations, students have also logged 11,781 minutes of reading over the past week! Let's keep up the great work to see if we can exceed last year's total of 69,000 minutes!
If you still haven't registered your student, it's not too late! Read-athon runs through Friday, October 14th!
Families can register their students at https://www.getmovinfundhub.com/register?school_uuid=610807c0cf734

Fall Festival Update 10/28/22
Students will be having a fall festival party in their classrooms on October 28th . Homeroom parents will be organizing fall themed games and crafts for students on this day. Teachers will communicate fall festival party times to their families.
Students are invited to wear fall colored clothing or a school appropriate costume that day (no large, inflatable, or gory costumes, no face paint or masks covering the entire face). Students will not be changing into, or out of, costumes during the day, so please be sure your child is wearing something comfortable that does not interfere with their safety. All students will follow their regular daily schedule with Physical Education, Art, Music, Recess and Lunch. We are excited to have our classroom parties, and we appreciate the support of our home and school volunteers! Grade level teachers will share the party times with their volunteers.

Counselor's Corner
Kindergarteners listened to the book “Words Are Not For Hurting” and learned that words can be like toothpaste, once they come out, you can’t put it back in. They learned the difference between helpful and hurtful words and are encouraged to think before speaking to use kind words. If hurtful words accidentally slip out, the helpful words to fix things are “I’m Sorry”. Encourage all age students to practice kind words on a regular basis.
