Lead & Influence FREE Summer Camp
Saint Catherine University and Katie Leadership Impact are delighted to announce that our Lead & Influence Summer Camp is back again for June 26-30 2023!
This free, five-day summer workshop empowers female high school students entering 11th and 12th grade in the fall semester to see themselves as leaders and learn from women in professional business careers while experiencing life at St. Catherine University’s St. Paul campus.

City of Eagan- Summer Jobs
The city of Eagan is hiring for summer jobs from forestry and maintenance positions to lifeguards and pool attendances to camp leaders; there are a variety of jobs for all interests and availability. Many positions start hiring at 15. It’s a great first job and an awesome way to work with friends and spend time outdoors making a difference in the community this summer.
Tree Trust- Summer Youth Employment
Youth, ages 14-21, are able to earn and learn through hands-on experience working on outdoor construction and landscape projects in local parks and green spaces!
Work outside, make friends, build skills, and have fun!
Earn $12.00/hour
Earn school credits and career pathway credentials
Work in crews with up to 8 other people
Program runs from June 20 to August 18, each crew member works up to 20 hours per week.
Youth, ages 14-21, living in Hennepin, Dakota, Ramsey or Washington County are eligible to apply (Additional eligibility requirements apply)

Healing Touch Massage Apprentice Program
In Dec of 2021 the MN Dept of Labor approved Healing Touch Massage Apprentice program - the first and only massage apprentice program in MN. It's a 2 year program and the apprentices who finish are eligible to sit for the Mblex exam to get licensed as a Massage Therapist. It's a great way to train to be a Licensed Massage Therapist without incurring any debt - and being paid to learn! MN Business Venture
Registration is now open for Minnesota Business Venture this summer! BestPrep’s
Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) is a weeklong intensive for students in grades 9-12. Students work together in teams, hear from inspiring speakers, gain leadership experience, and explore career paths – all while learning how to create and present a business plan.
In 2023, MBV is offering two overnight sessions:
July 9-14 or July 22-27 at the University of St. Thomas.
Students can apply online. The deadline is April 21 for our early-bird enrollment fee of $200. We offer numerous scholarships for those needing financial assistance!
Iowa State University- The College Tour
Watch the Iowa State episode of The College Tour and get a chance to talk with Amy Harker, Iowa State Admissions Counselor. Amy will also be providing tips and tricks to kick start your college search and be available to answer any questions after the event. The College Tour is a TV series on Amazon Prime that showcases Iowa State and all of its resources.

American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State
The American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State is a program in government and good citizenship for young women sponsored by the Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary. (ALA) This program is for young women who have just completed their junior year of high school, a week-long experience of learning about Minnesota government at the local, county and state levels by their participation in the process.
ALA Minnesota Girls State will be held Sunday, June 11th to Thursday, June 17th, 2022 at Bethel University in St. Paul.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
She must have completed her junior year of high school in a Minnesota public, charter, home school, parochial or private school or be a resident of Minnesota and have at least one more semester remaining prior to graduation.
She must be a citizen of the U.S. or have legal residency
She must have high moral character with strong leadership abilities
She must have no marital status (National ALA Mandate)
She must not have attended any other ALA Girls State session
She must demonstrate an interest in American government and have an above average scholastic rank
She must respect the American flag and be willing to pledge allegiance to it
If you are interested in applying to attend ALA Girls State, please pick up a brochure in the EHS Counseling Office by March 24th.
American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Boys State
The American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Boys State is a program in government and good citizenship for young men sponsored by the Minnesota American Legion. (ALA)
ALA Minnesota Boys state is a practical training program in local state government in which selected boys participate in actual learning experiences. We attempt to (1) illustrate to the boys the principles of representative form of government, (2) arouse an enduring interest in governmental affairs. Boys State is a functional practice of democratic activities. Every boy for whom application is made to boys state must be sponsored by an American Legion Post. The Daniel R. Olsen Post # 594 in Eagan can sponsor at least one applicant.
Minnesota Boys State will be held June 11th to June 17th, 2023 at Saint John's University Campus. Boy Staters will report on campus starting at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 11th and will start to organize soon after arrival, and the program will close after breakfast on Saturday, June 17 at approximately 9:00 AM. Boys state is open to all boys regardless of race, color or national origin. Only students finishing their junior year of high school, and who will be seniors in the following term of school are eligible to participate in Boys Sate.

Applications are due in the Counseling Office on or before Wednesday, March 24, 2023!
College/Military Visits
The admission representatives that visit Eagan high school are the same people that review college applications. Students can view these visits by logging into their Naviance Student account. Students should register on Naviance for both virtual AND/OR in person college visits. Registration instructions video. The registration in Naviance is the pass to leave class. If registering for a virtual visit during the school day, students should bring their iPad and earbuds to the counseling office to log-on for the visit. College visits are added daily, so students are encouraged to log into Naviance to see updates.
