A message from Mr. Rios, campus Principal
Good morning and happy Saturday stallion community, we hope you are off to a wonderful start to your Saturday morning. We had another amazing week with our Stallion scholars and we are excited to celebrate Montwood High School's homecoming this coming week. Below are a few updates for our students, faculty, staff and school community to get involved.
- Monday, September 27: Music Worldwide Monday, dress up as your favorite music group or artist.
- Tuesday, September 28: The Vibes Tuesday, dress up as a hippie or indie.
- Wednesday, September 29: Kickin It Wednesday, dress up in your vaquero or cowboy attire. Homecoming parade at MHS at 6pm. SIT meeting at 3:45 pm inside the library.
- Thursday, September 30: Pop lock & hip hop Thursday, dress in your favorite hip hop attire.
- Friday, October 1: Show up and show out Friday, wear green, blue and white. Homecoming football game at the SAC at 4pm.
- Saturday, October 2: Football vs. Drugan (away game).
Nine week testing will be administered on Thursday, September 30th and Friday, October 1st. Stallions, as a reminder, please make sure you are bringing your laptop and charger to school daily.
We are only 1 week away from our October intersession camp. We will be hosting our October intersession camp Monday, October 4 to Friday, October 8 from 8 am to 12 pm. Reporting time for students is between 7:30 am and 7:55 am, classes begin at 8:00 am. Transportation will be available to our students. Additional details can be found below.
Stallion scholars make sure you are arriving on time, taking attendance for each class and actively participating. Our goal as a campus is 97% and above. Stallions, if you have any questions in regards to attendance, please reach to your teachers or our campus attendance clerk Ms. Garcia at 915.937.5413 or at ngarci1020@sisd.net.

Hello, Stallions!
We want to invite any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition to join us for our first ever NAMI Family Support Group session starting October 18 at William D.
