Lunch with Students
Lunch Days
Thursdays - Pre-K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Except for Thursday, October 13th)
Fridays - Kinder, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Except for Friday, October 7th and 14th. Due to the Holiday, Kinder will lunch with parents will be held on Thursday, October 13th)

Students are our primary focus during lunches.
Procedures
- You will need to have your ID(s) ready when you arrive.
- Parents/Guardians will check in and wait in the foyer until all students have entered the cafeteria.
- Parents/Guardians cannot provide food to other students.
- Follow the directions of staff members while on campus.
- Parents/Guardians cannot remove food off of cafeteria provided lunch plates.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to interact with other students.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to go to any other parts of the building. If you need to visit other parts of the building, you will need to report to the main office.
- Parents/Guardians will follow the direction of staff to exit the building at the end of the lunch period.
- If someone other than the parent/guardian is coming, they will need parent permission and will have to sign up and contact Ms. Pasion at tpasion@dallasisd.org prior to the day.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTITIVITES
All students, Pre-K through 5th Grade, will have an opportunity to participate in clubs during the school day on select dates throughout the year. Students will choose their clubs. Giving students choice allows them to take ownership. Clubs allows students to explore their passion and interests, or develop new interests. Our first club day is September 30th.
We also offer a variety of before and after school club offerings. Information will be communicated to parents when individual club sign ups/auditions begin. Here are our before and after school club offerings:
- Lego Club - 1st-5th Grade - Will meet on select Wednesdays until 4:30 p.m.
- Creative Kids Club - 4th and 5th (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots) - Will meet on Thursdays until 4:30 p.m.
- Destination Imagination - 4th and 5th Grade (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots) - Will meet on Wednesdays until 4:30 p.m. - Saturday Competitions Required
- Choir - 4th and 5th Grade (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots) - Will mee on Tuesdays until 4:30
- Rock Band - 4th and 5th Grade (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots) - Will meet on Fridays until 4:30
- Robotics - 5th Grade - Will meet on Tuesdays and Thursday until 4 p.m. - Saturday Competitions Required
- P.L.A.Y. Initiative - 4th and 5th Grade - Meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 5 p.m. - Club Full
- ESports - 4th and 5th Grade - Saturday Competitions Required
- Cheerleading - 4th and 5th Grade - Saturday Events Required
- Chess (Before School Club) - Saturday Competitions Required
- Academic UIL - 3rd through 5th - Saturday Competitions Required
Lego Club
Our fall session of the Reilly LEGO Club will meet on Wednesdays, October 4th through the 26th, from 3:30-4:30 PM. Ms. Fierro and Mrs. Sharp will be able to accept 45 1st-3rd grade students this semester for a four-week session. Look for paperwork and information to come home in Thursday folders next week.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Our Hispanic Heritage Month programming will include the following events:
- Virtual Kick-Off led by Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde
- Virtual Hispanic Career Day Live Webinar featuring Hispanic professions about their careers
- Virtual Live Hispanic Book Festival featuring two Hispanic authors
- Weekly Guest Reader Webinars featuring Hispanic Dallas ISD trustees and educators
- Pioneer Historical, City of Dallas, and Dallas ISD Series recognizing unique contributions
- Daily Social Media posts spotlighting Hispanic traditions, culture, cuisine, and celebrations.
- Daily Social Media posts spotlighting Hispanic traditions, culture, cuisine, and celebrations.
- Other classroom and campus activities
While programming is highlighted in September and October, teachers use resources to augment books and activities year-round.

Early Giving has begun, and every cent counts! Last year Reilly Elementary raised over $8,000. Important Things to Remember
- School starts at 8 a.m. Your child is considered tardy at 8:00 a.m. Please ensure they arrive at school by 7:50 a.m. so that they can be in class and ready to learn at 8.
- If your child is ill, please ensure that you send an excuse note to school when they return. You may also email the attendance note to Ms. Medina at ljaramillo@dallasisd.org.
- Early pick ups also impact student learning. No early pickups will be allowed after 2:30 p.m.
