Last Month's Highlights!

March was a great month at BTES! We started it off with a very successful FunFest! The students had a lot of fun and enjoyed a great day of activities. Thank you to the BTES PTA for all of your hard work and dedication to your students. They truly enjoyed their time. Thank you also to all of the BTES staff and parents who took the time to help make the day perfect! We appreciate you.

Uno Night was a huge success. Thank you to all of the families that came out for a night of fun. Thank you also to the BTES Student Council for selling baked goods for the families to enjoy. What a great night!

We capped off the month with an outstanding Boys Assembly. We had a very passionate and influential panel of guests who spoke to the boys about important life characteristics. Our boys left feeling positive and motivated to make a difference in the world!

Student Council Updates

The student council members ran a very successful bake sale at the Family Uno Nights! The students sold a couple hundred dollars in baked goods. We appreciate all of the support from the families and staff who donated. This money will go towards Student Council attire and also will be donated to a local charity!

Congressman MacArthur's Reading Challenge

Congressman Tom MacArthur is sponsoring a reading challenge for all students in the Third Congressional District. Students are asked to read 3 books and submit the form below by March 16, 2018 in order to receive a Congressional Certificate. This is a wonderful way to recognize your child's reading accomplishments! Thank you and Happy Reading!!

Reminder: Cell Phone Procedures

At BTES we have decided to create a user friendly cell phone rule. We have shared this with the students on multiple occasions and want to make sure that we are all on the same page. When students bring their phones to school, they should be set off and kept in their bookbag during the school day. When riding the bus, the students may use their phones for music ONLY! There should be no games, calling, texting, photographing, or video taping on the bus. While using their phones for music they MUST ALSO have an earbud in one ear, leaving the other ear open for messages or announcements.

If this rule is not followed, we will be forced to eliminate the use of all phones while on school property.

Thank you for your continued support.
