October 2022 Highlights

LYCOCTC ROTARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH

The Lycoming Career and Technology Center is pleased to announce Makenna Dunlop as Rotary/LycoCTC Student of the Month for October, 2022. Makenna, daughter of Tara Smith of Allenwood , PA, has received this honor based upon outstanding work ethic, attendance, behavior, community service, and the recommendation of her LycoCTC Early Childhood Education instructor.

Mrs.Kime, her teacher, had this to say about her. "Makenna is a second year student in the Early Childhood Class. During the past two years that she has been enrolled in my class, Makenna has shown great enthusiasm, interest, and growth in the area of education. She is a great role model and mentor for her fellow classmates as well as an impactful teacher to the children that attend our preschool. Makenna goes above and beyond what is required in class. She continually brings new ideas to the class and works on many of these projects after school and on weekends. Makenna is a wonderful young lady who will make an impact on the world of education."

Makenna is a junior at Warrior Run High School. She is a varsity cheerleader and competitive swimmer. She also enjoys fishing in her spare time.

Following graduation in 2024, Makenna hopes to secure a Cosmetology Degree and later attend the Pennsylvania State University with a major in Early Childhood Education.
