Boosterthon Fun Run Is Coming Soon
It's almost that time of year when we get ramped up with excitement as our Boosterthon Fun Run comes to campus! Coach Tolle is chairing our fun run this year and is looking forward to working with you to make this year's run the best one yet! She will share more at this week's staff celebration meeting. Please keep the following in mind:
- This year's theme is Backyard Box Office. https://vimeo.com/174533167
- Door Decorating will begin after our 10 year anniversary celebration on April 6th.
- Door judging will be on April 11th.
- Pep Rally April 11th- 3rd-5th 1:30-2:00 and K-2 2:10-2:40
- Fun Run on April 21st
Please start building excitement for our fun run! This year, we had a PCE spirit shirt designed for our fun run shirt! Every student will now how a spirit shirt to wear on Fridays and their laps will be marked on the back as their trophy of honor. Survey your class for ideas of what they want to raise money for to take their learning even higher. There's tons of cool STEM items we could purchase to take our STEM initiative further next year. This year was all about exploration and next year we will have STEM focused lessons that the science curriculum writing team is preparing with Kathy Morrison.
Spotlight on Strengths
Lauren Avery is a dedicated go getter kind of teacher! She works hard to keep many plates spinning at once. Lauren serves as team leader, PTA teacher representative, EIC representative, and she serves as a 3rd grade curriculum writer with the district. By being involved in many areas, Lauren is able to leverage her strengths of being an arranger and responsibility.
People strong in the Arranger theme can organize, but they also have a flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity.
People strong in the Responsibility theme take psychological ownership of what they say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.
Thank you Lauren for going above and beyond to serve your students with excellence. As you serve in all of these different capacities, it gives you the ability to see how all of the pieces of the puzzle fit together to build an inspired passionate third grader. Your hard work, high expectations and dedication to getting each student as far as possible on their learning journey is appreciated.
