KCS Staff,

I cannot express how fun this week was at KCS. Not only did students learn a lot, but they had fun in the process. I understand all the extra work that it takes, but to see the excitement of the students, it is always worth it.

Thank you for all you do.

Sharing Positivity

In the most hectic time of the year, it is great to see staff members taking care of each other. Whenever you have the opportunity to make someone else's day, I encourage you to take it. It could be a card, a kind word, a smile, or a much needed caffeinated beverage, but it will always be worth it.

Staff Meeting - Wednesday 7:45

We will have a staff meeting on Wednesday at 7:45 in the cafeteria. It will last about 30 minutes. We will cover the items from the checklist as well as provide an update on insurance coverage for next year.

In order to allow for the running of reports for grading, please submit your grades in Synergy by noon on Wednesday. If you are a classroom teacher, you will submit the classes you teach. For example, if your grades are done you do not need to wait for Specialist grades, you can submit. Grades for your students that are taught by others will be populated when they submit.

My advice is to get grading submitted early to avoid having to wait in line with Amy White on Wednesday to see if your grades posted.

Student Placements

Many groups have done a great job of working to place students in classrooms that meet the various needs of each individual. Thank you for helping to ensure future successes of the students by placing them in the proper environment. Please know that your careful consideration is very much appreciated and valued. Any notes also help in making sure that any student movement done this summer is calculated. If these could be turned in prior to leaving on Wednesday, that would be great.
