To access Schoology and create a NEW myBCPS Account follow these steps:

1. Visit mybcps.bcps.org
2. Click Create an Account and complete Your Account Profile. You will be sent an activation code via e-mail, which is good for 24 hours after generation.
3. Click Add a Student. You will be prompted to select your child's school and enter their date of birth.
4. Click Submit.

For parents that already have established a myBCPS account, but are not connected to their student, please login to https://mybcps.bcps.org/ and follow Steps 3 and 4 noted above.

The McCormick Unsung Hero Award honors high school seniors who have been models of sportsmanship and team spirit.

Each year since 1940, McCormick & Co. honors male and female high school seniors who are student athletes in the Baltimore area with the McCormick Unsung Heroes Award. Students are nominated from all sports who display such character traits as:

• Good sportsmanship

• Dedication

• Integrity

• Positive attitude

This year Owings Mills honorees were:

• Helen Delgado

• Jordan Jeter

Each honoree becomes eligible for the Charles Perry McCormick Scholarship worth $40,000, as well as two 2nd-place prizes worth $7,500 each. And, two 3rd-place prizes, worth $5,000 each. Congratulations to our winner, Helen Delgado who was awarded a $5,000 scholarship.

On the field, Helen leads by example. She finished every conditioning session, and then helped the last player cross the finish line. She gave 100% effort toward drills in practice and asked questions to make strides towards improving her skills. She sacrificed her body by attempting every tackle against an opponent that was bigger than her and was always willing to be substituted to give a teammate more playing time. Throughout the soccer season, Helen did these things without a complaint or expecting recognition.

Way to go, Helen!
